I've been trying three-breath meditations recently as part of a workshop I've been doing online. Tonight I tried my first 10 minute meditation with the help of a guided meditation soundtrack. I expected it to be agonizing, me quiet and still for 10 minutes? But it breezed by to the point that I had to double-check that the recording was really for 10 minutes.

I'm taking that as a good sign.

I don't recall crossdressing though I suppose it's possible. :)

I finally gave into temptation and peeked at the ad's destination, and was disappointed that it's just some aggregator page with pointers to supposed places with related names. You like to do things the mainstream would consider strange, (like dress in costume, perhaps?), but this gives you an irresistible allure. Eat, drink, and be merry, but make sure whoever you date respects you and does not take advantage of your laid-back attitude. (BTW, you are likely the only type who can see The Sports Spectator (NLBM) for who he is, helping him to bring out the Manga Geek (QLBM) inside. This does not mean you have to date one, however. You are quite flexible and can enjoy the company of many of the types.)

PS: You are one of my favorite types to date. All logic is thrown out the window.

The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial; if you have any past mental problems, you must be vigilant in taking your medication but avoid drugs or alcohol, as abuse of either will cause them irreparable damage. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight. You can and should trust your intuition.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

Since when do I enjoy doing laundry? My household is just 2 people and we both work from home, so some things quite easily pile up and can be put off for ages and ages. I swear I've done more laundry tonight than I've done in the last year, and I'm not quite finished yet. Mind you, in some cases I'm kind of cheating by doing "wash by hand only" stuff in cold on delicate cycle. :P

Edited to add: Okay, I do realize I'm prone to exaggeration. Not more than all year maybe. But it was a lot. :)

I've been struggling with focus lately. This isn't a new thing for me, sometimes I'm hyper-focused and massively productive and I probably push too far and hard until I'm exhausted. Then I get unfocused and work a bit in fits and starts until I become focus-woman again.

I have little tricks to help focus like music, but of course there's no magic bullet on that. Inspired by watcher457, I think I'm going to work through a book I've had sitting around waiting for my attention: "The Sevenfold Journey: Reclaiming Mind, Body, and Spirit through the Chakras." I really connected with A.J.'s ""Wheels of Life" so hopefully this one will speak to me too.

Then maybe I'll work back through the "Wheels of Life" like I've been thinking about doing for, well, a while now.

Okay, I'm formally putting down my exercise goals. I've made a custom program on my treadmill, so basically I want to use it at minimum 3 times a week, ideally 5 times a week, tweaking and making it more challenging and longer over time. Right now it's at 35 mins and at a level where I hit points where I really want to tone it down but "just one more minute." I try to find that point just below "I literally can't keep up!" :)

Guess I'll go with the traditional Sunday to Saturday as a week. Here's to exercise!

It's quite interesting, but I set it aside a long time ago and didn't continue reading. Then the other day I realized that this was about the time of year I'd stopped on, so what a great time to pick it back up. Hopefully I can keep up the habit this time.
I travel at least once a month for work. When I go through the Vancouver airport, there's a few spas, and they have pretty reasonably-priced chair massages available. Since it's an international flight I have to be there 2 hours early (well, have might be too strong a word, but it's wise in case customs and everything else is slow. That means I usually have a lot of time to kill once I'm through to the gates.

More than once, when I've gotten my massage, they've used the most amazing-smelling lotion. I've walked around for the rest of the day really wishing the scent wouldn't fade. This time, I finally broke down. A 1.8 fl.oz./50 ml bottle was $40 Canadian, which to me is expensive, but now I can smell it whenever I want. It's a the the MoorSpa Tension Balm. It has evening primrose, peppermint, melissa, feverfew, and magnesium, and just putting a bit on my hands to smell reminds me that it was way worth it.

On the other hand, they had a special where if I got my usual massage I could have a grapefruit-scented oxygen treatment or something for 10 mins. So what the heck, it was worth a try, especially since I have a sleep disorder that can potentially oxygen-deprive me. I have to say I didn't really feel I got anything out of it, which was pretty disappointing. I'm just glad I didn't have to spend money to find out, I'd have gotten the massage regardless.

You have a clearly defined sense of right and wrong, and you like seeing people punished for their transgressions. You are Nemesis, goddess of punishment. You are a champion for the defenseless, you love poetic justice and, if karmic retribution doesn't have its say, then you'll have yours. You are astute, rarely fooled, and idealistic.

Your defining characteristic is your internal and inflexible system of morals. Because of your highly intuitive nature, you possess the theoretical nature required to define those morals, but you sometimes lack the ability to verbalize and expound on them, especially on the more nuanced parts of your worldview. Regardless, you have strong instincts which often prove to be correct, and rather than preaching, you act on them. You don't compromise -- ever.

You can sometimes be a person of great internal stress. You don't have double standards, and so you expect the same of yourself as you expect of others. You might find, sometimes, that you have just as hard of a time in living up to those expectations as the people around you. As a result, you are rarely at peace with yourself, but you're also likely to think of this in a positive light -- you're always forcing yourself to improve, and you avoid making mistakes.

You tend to be a private person, and don't like to talk much about those staunch morals of yours until, that is, they become violated. Once that happens, everyone is going to know exactly where you stand. You have a distaste of nihilism and intellectual relativism that will make you naturally compatible with scientists and certain kinds of philosophers, even if they don't share your activist streak.

Famous People like you: Goethe, Voltaire, Susan B. Anthony, Robert Burns

Similar Personality Types: Prometheus, The Oracle, Hermes, Orpheus

Avoid: Icarus, Dionysus, Agamemnon, Atlas

You may or may not be able to get along with an Odysseus -- it will depend on his/her upbringing.

Take The Greek Mythology Personality Test at HelloQuizzy
